DAPHNE, Ala. — Regular shoppers at the Daphne Walmart may have noticed extensive work being done on the outside of the building, but the company has plans to remodel the entire store, inside and out.

According to a press release, “The remodel will represent the latest in Walmart store design and customer experience,” and include many improvements based on customer feedback.

The remodel is expected to make the store cleaner, more bright and open, with easier-to-read signs and easier-to-find products. The remodel will encompass all the store’s departments and rearrange products so the products people buy most are easier to access.

Despite ongoing construction, the store will remain open and most construction is expected to be done during night hours so it affects fewer shoppers.

“We are excited to bring an improved shopping experience to our customers,” store manager Porter Dunlap said. “We listened to our customers and are redesigning the store to make shopping at Walmart even easier.”
