DAPHNE, Ala.—The Daphne Youth Appreciation Committee is planning a celebration to honor students in Daphne.
Each Daphne school will select a student to be recognized in each of three categories:
The student will be introduced by Daphne community leaders and recognized individually by a leader.
In this way, our leaders of today will be meeting our leaders of tomorrow, a spokesperson said.
The celebration will be held on April 30 at 7 p.m. in the Community Life Center at Daphne United Methodist Church, 2401 Main St. The public is invited.
After the event, the committee will form an Optimist Club in Daphne to promote this and other youth events in the future.
