Daphne's Yeldon to play in Army All-American Bowl

DAPHNE, Alabama — As fast as he is, T.J. Yeldon is in no hurry to make up his mind about who to run for after high school.

The Daphne Trojans multi-purpose back with more than a dozen major college offers said he's focused on helping the 2010 6A state football champions repeat the title in his senior year.

“We want to go back and win it again,” he said. “I probably won't decide (about college) until next year (2012).”

Whether the Trojans play as a team in December 2011, Yeldon and a select group of his teammates will.

Yeldon, along with defensive ends Ryan Anderson and Eric Lee, defensive back Torren McGaster and offensive lineman Jeremy Sparks have been invited to play in the 2011 Max Emfinger All-American Bowl Classic Dec. 31 at Doug Williams Stadium in Baton Rouge, La.

Down the road in Fairhope, Pirate offensive linemen Kyron Samuels and Charles Carter have also been invited to the game.

In addition, Yeldon has been selected to play in the 2012 U.S. Army All-American Bowl next January.
