Darold Gene Rischer passed away Feb. 26, 2014 in Gulf Shores.
Darold was born Jan. 20, 1936. He grew up in Belvue, Kansas and moved to Topeka as an adult.
He was married to Ramona Wilson. They later divorced, and she preceded him in death.
Darold retired from Josten’s in Topeka. After retiring, he moved to Gulf Shores, where he was an artist and musician.
Darold is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Howerton of Topeka; son, Bradley Rischer; daughter-in-law Susan; grandson, Jack; granddaughter, Lily, all of Lawrence, Kansas. His loss is also felt by his girlfriend, Patty Hopkins.
Per Darold’s request, there will not be a traditional funeral service. A memorial service will be held in Gulf Shores at a later date.
