At St. Patrick School in Robertsdale, the seventh and eighth grade

students participated in an essay contest sponsored the the Fort

Bowyer Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution,

represented by Mrs. Louise Reid (right). The theme of the essay was

"Young America Takes A Stand: The war of 1812". Mrs. Reid presented

the winners with a certificate, cash award, and medal. Winners are,

from 7th grade, Ali Leavitt (left center), and from 8th grade, Sabrina
