The Fort Mims and Zachariah Godbold Chapters, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, welcomed Tammy Bradshaw Clemons, State Regent of The Alabama Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution to a Luncheon on June 12 at the historic Montgomery Hill Baptist Church, Tensaw.

Joining Clemons and chapter members in celebrating Flag Day and acknowledging the NSDAR Women's Issues Committee's National Theme 2020-2021: Health: "Prevention of Heart Attack and Stroke" were ASDAR leaders Clariece Boyd Lilly, Second Vice Regent, Susan Richardson Tomlinson, DAR School Committee Chairman, Michele Ann Yarbrough, Women’s Issues Committee Chairman, and Rita Haywood Reid, State Regent’s Project Co-Chairman.

Karen Rhea White and Timothy Guy of Theatre 98, Fairhope, conveyed the luncheon’s theme, “Matters of the Heart,” presented letters penned, to their wives, by General George Washington and Major Sullivan Ballou while serving during the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, respectively.
