David G. Reynolds of Foley passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013.

David worked for Columbia Southern University as a Web designer, and was revered and respected by his friends and co-workers as hard-working, creative, witty and kind.

He served in the United States Air Force from 2000 to 2005, and met his wife, Melissa, while stationed at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. The two were married there in 2003.

David graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia in 1997 with a bachelor of arts degree in illustration and then from Sessions College for professional design in 2010, with an advanced certificate in graphic design and Web development.

David was exceptionally gifted at drawing and painting and had a natural talent for music, particularly the guitar and piano.

In additional to spending time with his family, he enjoyed reading, World War II history, walking on the beach, comedy and impersonations, making others laugh and break-dancing. He also loved to write and did so in such an elegant fashion.

David is survived by his wife of 10 years, Melissa Woodson Reynolds; his son, Rex Samuel Reynolds; mother and father, Frances and David Reynolds Sr.; brother, Mark (Patzi) Reynolds; brother, Jonathan (Von) Reynolds; sister, Fiona Reynolds and husband, Murat Deligonul; and nephews, William, Jack and Henry Reynolds, all of whom loved him dearly and will miss him very much.

David will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, dear friend and respected professional.

To celebrate his life, Dr. Lance Moore will conduct a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Pine Rest Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 16541 U.S. 98 in Foley.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Rex Samuel Reynolds benefit fund at United Bank Magnolia Springs, P.O. Box 259, Magnolia Springs, AL 36555.
