Joseph Clifford “Joe” Davis, 70, native of Pinson, Tenn., and a resident of the Robertsdale died Sunday, March 16, 2008.
He was involved in youth baseball for over 40 years as a coach and an umpire, as he was affectionately known as “Mr. Joe.” He was employee of Bay Paper Company for over 28 years and was a strong supporter of Association for Retarded Citizens of Baldwin County.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy C. Davis Jr., and two brothers, Larry E. Davis and Robert A. Davis Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Patricia Creamer Davis of Robertsdale; two sons, Jeffrey C. Davis of Loxley and Brian (Kae) Davis of Robertsdale; his mother, Helen G. Davis of Cantonment, Fla.; mother-in-law, Oveda Creamer of Robertsdale; two sisters, Edna L. Cazalas of Belton, Texas, and Angie M. York of Cantonment, Fla.; brother, James Ralph (Ann) Davis Sr. of Malakoff, Texas; sisters-in-law, Margaret Ann Davis of Mobile; Nancy (Maurice) Blackmon and Linda (Duncan) Hudnall, both of Robertsdale; brother-in-law, Jim (Mary) Creamer of Saraland; two grandsons, Tyler W. Davis and Trevor L. Davis; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 19 at Mack Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Batchelor officiating. Burial followed at Baldwin Memorial Cemetery in Robertsdale.
