FOLEY, Ala.— Foley’s Davis Crosby signed a football scholarship Dec. 16 to play at Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss. The 6-foot-3, 275-pound offensive lineman was a standout center and offensive tackle for the Lions. Crosby graduated early (in December) and is now enrolled at Delta State and will take part in the Statesmen’s 2016 spring training.

He was named all county, was mentioned for the All-Coastal team, was voted as one of four team captains and also received an academic award.

DSU offensive coordinator and OL coach Joel Williams describes Crosby as a cerebral lineman who can play any spot on the line.

Crosby helped the Lions make it to the first round of the Class 7A state playoffs this past season and he started at center for the 2014 Lions team that went all the way to the 7A semifinals.

The son of Erick and Kelly Crosby of Magnolia Springs, Crosby is undecided on his major. He joins former teammates Tyler Cameron, R. J. Hulse, Darius Powell and Shawn Sanks on the Fighting Okra gridiron. Learn more about and follow Delta State athletics at: GoStatesmen.com.
