ROBERTSDALE, Ala.—Trevor Davis and Tyler Reeves signed to play baseball at the next level in 2017 during a signing ceremony at Robertsdale High on Jan. 27.

Davis signed with the Bishop State Community College Wildcats in Mobile and Reeves with the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawks in Brewton. Davis is a left-handed pitcher/outfielder. Reeves is a right-handed pitcher/third baseman and can play outfield. Robertsdale head coach Peter Bezeredi said both senior players are work horses at the plate as well as on defense.

“Tyler is a very talented baseball player, “ said Bezeredi. “He has a big frame and can run well. He hits for power and average. He can play several positions on the field. He really enjoys getting dirty and plays the games with an old-school mentality. He played basketball, baseball and football in high school, which is extremely hard to do these days. I am looking forward to see what he can do at the next level when he focuses in on baseball.”

Bezeredi said that Davis will be called on to play all phases again this spring, but he will probably focus on pitching at Bishop State.

“Trevor is an extremely hard worker. He has improved tremendously over the past year. He plays left field for us and had a solid season last year. He runs well and hits well. Trevor is also a lefty pitcher that has great stuff. He throws hard and has a really good curveball. We are counting on him to have a great season on the mound. Bishop really likes his upside on the mound.”

Last season Reeves hit .355 with 45 hits and a .403 On-Base Percentage. He had six doubles, three triples and a home run with 22 RBIs. He also had 16 stolen bases. Davis hit .272 with a .390 On-Base Percentage. He had six doubles, one triple, 16 RBIs and five stolen bases.
