James Everette Davison, 62, a resident of Bay Minette, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008 at his residence in Bay Minette.
He retired from Scott Paper in 1995 and started Everette Davison Logging in 1996 where he worked until his retirement in 2006. He was a member of the Professional Loggers Managers Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James William and Mildred Davison; his wife, Betty Ann Wilson Davison; and his sister, Wanda Davison Tolbert.
Survivors include three sons, James Eric (Tanya) Davison, Jonathan Everette (Lisa) Davison and Chad Everette (Buffie) Davison, all of Bay Minette; brother, Walter Kendrick Davison of Bay Minette; sisters, Emogene Davison Stewart of Bay Minette and Joyce Davison Dorriety of Atmore; five grandchildren, Jonathan "Reid" Davison, James Alexander "Alex" Davison, Jacob Johnston, Kimberly Holland "Holly" Breedin and Victoria "Tori" Davison; two nieces, Jonice L. Casey and Terris M. (Gayland) Hadley; four nephews, John David Dorriety, Almon Wayne "Al" Tolbert, Jeffery Davison and Jason Davison; six nephews; and two great-nephews.
Active pallbearers were Lawrence Griffith, Wilton Clark, Kerry Mitchum, Dempsey Parker, Arthur Riley, Jim Price, Woody Overby and Al Tolbert.
Honorary pallbearers were Dan Robinson, Ricky Clark, Gene Clemmons, Everette Hadley and Fred Stacey.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 17 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. James Peacock and J.P. Lambert officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Community Hospice of Baldwin County, 311 D'Olive Street, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
