Dixie Blair Day, 90, a longtime resident of Bay Minette, died of natural causes Friday, Aug. 28, 2009 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.
Born Nov. 18, 1918 in Clay County she was the youngest of many siblings. She and her family moved to Bay Minette in 1951. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son George Harvy Day, and husband, P.B. Day.
Survivors include two children, Peggy Day (J. Alan) Corringan and Harry Lloyd (Deloris Knowles) Day; grandchildren, Brent (Landra), Holly (Matthew), Diana (Richard), Maaura and Sean; and great-grandchildren, Parker and Savannah, Alexander and Aidan Blair.
Funeral services were were held Monday, Aug. 31 at Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette with Dr. Henry Cox and Dr. Chip Starnes officiating.
Pallbearers were Carlton Boutwell, Joe Fuller, eArl Phillips, Kent Phillips, Mack Duck and David Coleman.
