Allen Dean died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 at his home in Fairhope.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Edna Dean, and a brother, Russell Dean.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mamie Sue Commander Dean of Fairhope; two children, Jimmy A. (Lori) Dean of Loxley and Cindy L. Dean (Bill) McCoach of Mary Esther, Fla.; four grandchildren, Robbie Dean of Alabama, Ramsey, Thad and Amber Parnell of Florida; two brothers, Alcus Dean f Acworth, Ga., and George Dean of Ponce De Leon, Fla.; two sisters, Henritta Rhodes of Ponce De Leon, Fla., and Beulah Mae (Jerry) Burgess of Westville, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and visitation were held Wednesday, Sept. 9 at Clary-Glen Funeral Home, DeFuniak Springs, Fla. Burial followed at New Ponce De Leon Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ramsey parnell, Thad Parnell, Matt Wilde, Mark Wilde, Bill McCoach, Benny Childress and Chris Childress.
