Charles L. Dean, 82, a native of Lottie and a resident of Fairhope, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007.
He was a longtime member of the Fairhope United Methodist Church; was a former state care taker of Fort Morgan; a crew chief at Brookley Field Fire Department; and was a member of Bay Minette Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his son Charles Edward Dean.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Dean of Fairhope; sons, Richard (Merlin) Dean of Barnwell and Dale (Julie) Dean of Pensacola; sisters, Mary Sue (Hannis) Head of Stapleton, Nellie Lyons of Fairhope and Helen Fuqua of Cantonment, FL; sister-in-law-, Jolene Jones Dean of Stapleton; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services and burial were held Tuesday, Aug. 14 at Stapleton Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Fairhope United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Cremator Inc., Fairhope.
