Deborah Davidson Kingrea, age 60, of Fairhope, died of Lymphoma, Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at home.

Debbie was born May 2,1952 in St. Louis, Mo., to Edward I. and Cornelia Taylor Davidson. She graduated with a bachelor of journalism degree from the University of Missouri, 1974; she received a law degree from Loyola University School, New Orleans of Law, 1979. She practiced law in her father's St. Louis law firm for a couple of years before moving to Baton Rouge, La, where she was a TV news reporter for several years at WBRZ-TV. Later she was the marketing director for the law firm of Adams & Reese. She was presented an award of merit in 1991 from the National Law Firm Marketing Association. Debbie married Richard Owen Kingrea on Sept. 25, 1982 In New Orleans. Their family moved to Baton Rouge, La, in 1991, and finally to Fairhope in 1998. The Kingreas embraced Fairhope with vigor, and Fairhope returned the enthusiasm. She served terms as president of the Eastern Shore Literacy Council and the Eastern Shore Art Center. She was a partner in Perry Dampf Kingrea Dispute Solutions, a mediation and arbitration firm, Fairhope. In addition to husband Rick, she is survived by three children, Richard Owen-Charles "Rocky" Kingrea (Leigh Ann) of West Monroe, La; Eric James Kingrea of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Taylor Davidson Kingrea of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Caroline and Gray Kingrea of West Monroe, La.; other survivors include her mother, Cornelia T. Davidson of St. Louis; three sisters, Judy Doyle (Bob Shaw) of Orlando; Joan Davidson of St. Louis; Susan Davidson of Atlanta; mother-in-law, Margaret Kingrea of Baton Rouge; brother-in-law, David Kingrea (Bonna), Alexandria of La; sister-in-law, Kay Ann Terry (Doug) of Little Rock, Ark; numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 545 South Mobile St., Fairhope. Bright-colored clothing requested at the celebration.
