Decie Lene Powell, 92, born in Evergreen, and a resident of Bay Minette, died Monday, March 19, 2012 at Oakwood Nursing Home.
She was a machine operator (retired) at Mannor Slacks. She is survived by one son, Sam Powell, Robertsdale; two daughters, Joyce James and Peggy Brown both of Bay Minette; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clabe Powell. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 22 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Chester Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Aubrey Yarbrough, Sylvester Kelly, Billy Powell, Neil Hodges, Jerry Perkins and Charles Perkins.
