Margaret T. Delaney, a resident of Gulf Shores for the past 38 years, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007
She was born July 21, 1914 in Lexington, Tenn., and raised in Nashville.
She attended Cumberland College in Lebannon, Tenn., and began her career as wife and mother in 1937. She was employed by the federal government for 17 years, retiring in 1969 as an administrative officer. She was an assistant city clerk for Gulf Shores from 1972 to 1982.
Survivors include three children, Joseph Daniel (Teri) Parker Jr. , Margaret Lane Parker-Smith and Patricia Ann Parker (David) Bodenhamer; nine grandchildren, Chris Parker, Courtney Bradshaw, Carla Pennell, Lindsey Whitten, Daniel Parker, Robin Eversole, Lesley Bower, Mary Bower and Jordan Bodenhamer, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1 at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley. Burial will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
