Dolores Flowers Rhodes, 78, of Daphne, died Saturday, March 10, 2012, at her home. “Dee” was born in Ash, N.C., and was of the Baptist faith. She was a lifetime member of the DAR Fort Bowyer Chapter, the Scottish Clan Ross and the Mobile Genealogical Society. Dee was a past member of the Secretaries Club and Women's Club of Mobile, United Daughters of the Confederacy. She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree at the University of South Alabama . Survivors include her husband, Craig Rhodes; three daughters, Tonya (Rick) Johnson, Timberlake, N.C., Gayla (Gary) Compton, Norfolk, Vir., and Gilda (Greg) Boutwell, Robertsdale; one son, Michael (Norma) Ferrell, Raleigh, N.C.; sister, Mary (O. G.) Parrot and brother, Johnnie Daniel; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ESRF, P. O. Box 1796, Daphne, AL 36526.
