Delphia Mae “Sandy” Bishop, 85, a native of Loogootee, Ind., and a resident of Summerdale, died peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, after a 4 1/2 fight against leukemia.
She was a former member of Faith Baptist Church of Fairhope.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Col. James M. Bishop (U.S. Army, retired) of Fairhope; three sons, Ron Bishop of Rochester Hills, Mich., Mike Bishop of Madison, Ind., and Mark Bishop of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Mable Rainey of Ownesboro, Ky., Roberta Stone and Rowena Armstrong, both of Foley; three brothers, Robert Stone of Franklin, Ky., Paul Stone of Bowling Green, Ky., and Bill Stone of New Burgh, Ind.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
