BAY MINETTE, Alabama — Baldwin County attorney Denise Baschab has qualified with the Republican Party for Baldwin County District Judge. She graduated from Foley High School in 1989, and graduated cum laude in 1995 from the University of South Alabama. She worked with the adult mentally ill population with the Baldwin County Mental Health Center from 1995 until she entered the University of Alabama School of Law. During law school, Baschab was a law clerk for Attorney General Bill Pryor in the Medicaid Fraud Unit, assisted launching a free law clinic which serviced University of Alabama students and those in need and held a position as research assistant to law school faculty. Baschab said she was legal counsel for the city of Daphne, and was a domestic violence prosecutor in Mobile. “I love my home and the people who have chosen to make it theirs,” Baschab said in a press release. “Give me the opportunity to serve you. I thrive on hard work, and have the right blend of personal and professional experience and resolute ethical standards to draw in exercising the discretion required to act as judge.” Baschab’s father is retired Air Force Capt.Roger Baschab, former chairman of the Republican Party in both Baldwin and Montgomery counties, and Pamela Willis Baschab, retired presiding judge of the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals.
