ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — The Treasures of the Isle Mardi Gras Society will hold its 3rd annual Derby Day party at the VIP Lounge on Canal Road in Orange Beach on May 2, at 2 p.m.

A contest will be held to select the best decorated Derby Day hat. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo.

A limited number of sponsorships are still available for businesses and individuals for $100 that include two tickets to the event, signage for your rider and advertisements in the press releases announcing the event. For further information, call 251-979-7031.

The event will be held in conjunction with the Kentucky Derby.

Television sets will be located throughout the lounge and guests will be able to place wagers on the various races and enjoy Derby Day food and beverages.

Tickets are $25 each and include Derby food, happy hour cash bar, a silent auction, door prizes, and a human race consisting of stick horses racing through a measured race track.
