Charles William Diehl Sr., 75, a native of Newark, Ohio, and a resident of Bay Minette, died Monday, March 22, 2010 at Oakwood Nursing Home.
He retired as a supervisor at Kiser Aluminum. He was a jailer at the Baldwin County Corrections Center and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Romona Jean Hoffer Diehl of Bay Minette; three sons, Charles William Diehl Jr. of Pearl River, La., David (Stephanie) Diehl of Bay Minette and William Diehl of Huntsville; two daughters, Nancy (Chip) Wimberley and Patty (Josh) Bailey, both of Bay Minette; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 25 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Ben Ragsdale and the Rev. Tony Banning officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chip Wimberley, Trey Wimberley, Todd Parker, Mark Parker, Josh Bailey and Tommy Hardin.
