Henryetta “Hennie” Greenslit Dietze died Aug. 18, 2007 after a long illness.
She was born and raised in New Orleans. She graduated high school from Louise S. McGehee. She attended the University of Colorado and graduated from Sophie Newcomb College in 1955. Shee lived on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay for more than 40 years and was active in many projects involving art and theater, especially those associated with children. She was an avid golfer and tennis player.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Dr. Ferdinand “Bozie” H. Dietze; sister, Virginia Greenslit Lockhart; four children, Catherine Dietze (Rick) Kohnke of New Orleans, Ann Dietze (Billy) Geary of Chevy Chase, Md., David Greenslit (Carrie) Dietze of Plano, Texas, and Evelyn Dietze (Dennis) O’Reilly of Atlanta; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Private burial services will follow.
