ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — At Discovery Island Child Development Center located in Orange Beach firefighters from Orange Beach brought a fire truck and visited with the children in October for Fire Safety Month.

Also, the families of Discovery Island helped teach their children the importance of sharing with families in need by bringing non perishable food items to the Center to be donated for the holiday season to the Christian Service Center in Gulf Shores.

The children were allowed to climb through the truck.

In addition Fire Marshall Craig Stephenson talked to the children and shared a video about what to do if they ever encounter a fire.

The children were especially excited to receive fire fighters hats and pretended to be fire fighters for days later.

The Staff and Families of Discovery Island wish all a blessed and happy Holiday season.
