FOLEY, Ala. - A Walt Disney merchandise retail store will open Friday in the Tanger Outlets Center, but residents who intend to spend a few dollars at the location better head there soon because it will be available temporarily.

"It is just a temporary deal," Matthew Stump, Asset Management and Sales director of operations, said. "We may be there anywhere from 2-6 months. It all depends on how well sales go and if they find a permanent tenant."

The store will be ran by Asset Management and Sales, a company out of Tennessee, and the Foley location will sell Disney items ranging from toys to clothes and costumes to collectibles.

"This is all Disney products," Stump said. "The big thing is the majority of this stuff is below original retail…I'd say around 80-90 percent of the stuff is discounted lower than the original retail. Some of the stuff is up to 80 percent off the original retail.

"This is all stuff from the parks, Disneyland, Disneyworld, Disney store items. Also there's a company that makes a lot of the Disney toys, Jakks Pacific. They make the dolls. We're also going to be having a lot of the collectibles."

The store will open when the outlet center opens in the morning, Stump said.

According to Stump, anybody bringing in The Foley Onlooker will receive a 10 percent discount. However, it cannot be combined with other offers and discounts.
