FAIRHOPE, Ala. — The Distinguished Young Women of Baldwin County, formerly Baldwin County Junior Miss, is looking for area businesses and individuals interested in sponsoring the Distinguished Young Women program.
The program, set to take place on August 30 at Faulkner State Community College in Bay Minette, is part of the largest and oldest national scholarship program for high school senior girls.
“The Distinguished Young Women sponsors contribute to the success of our local program, as well as to the life-long success of the young ladies who participate,” said Joni Wofford, program director.
Sponsorship levels begin at as little as $20 and move up to the Official Program Sponsor, for $1000. Donors will be listed on the first page of the program book and verbally thanked the night of the program. One hundred percent of donated monies support scholarships for program participants. Donations are tax-deductible and can be written in the name of a business or individual. To become a scholarship sponsor, contact Jenilee Powell at 251-769-1459. The deadline for sponsorships is August 1.
