Hazel Doege, 100, a resident of Elberta since 1932, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
July 5, 2009 was recognized as Hazel Doege day in Elberta.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Doege; and two sons, Herman Doege Jr. and Earl Doege.
Survivors include three sons, Norman Doege of Elberta, Roger Doege of Elberta and Ronnie Doege of Pensacola, Fla.; daughter, Joyce Lipscomb of Elberta; sister, Loraine Waling of Michigan; brother, Ted Huesing of Palm Beach, Fla.; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. Interment will follow at Elberta Public Cemetery.
