Don Malcolm Westerfield, 88, a native of Michigan and a current resident of Daphne, Alabama passed away December 24, 2020. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Edythe King Westerfield; his four children Lois Thieme (Dale); Pamela Hockey, Rosalie Westerfield and Don E Westerfield (Julie); grandchildren, Matthew, Donna, Brian, Cherish, Alexander, Phillip, Timothy and many great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents Don Westerfield and Margaret VanDuesen Westerfield; sister Norma Burdick; brother-in-law and dear friend Bill Burdick. Don was a veteran who served in the US Army. He was also a member of the Gideons and Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church. He had a love for old cars, working on cars and talking to other “car guys”. Funeral service will be at Hughes Funeral Home, 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Ross Reddick. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gideons or a charity of choice.
