Donald Dixon, 67, of Fairhope, formerly of Bakersfield, Calif. and Brooklyn, N.Y., was received to the arms of Jesus on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013.
Our precious “Poppy” was retired from the city of New York Police Department, and spent many years in the food and wine industry.
He leaves to mourn his passing and rejoice in his reception, his wife, Ramona Dixon; his mom, Elizabeth “Betty” Dixon; a brother, Robert Dixon; sons, Brett (Terri) Dixon and Scott Dixon; a daughter, Amy Jones Sharpe; a granddaughter, “his Peanut,” Avery Dixon Jones; nieces, Lynette Steinwald, Dakota and Aidan Dixon and Brooklyn Nib Dixon; and a host of friends across the nation.
An angel on Earth, our lives forever touched, never the same.
A memorial service will be held at a later time.
