Donald E. Dement, 73, a resident of Loxley, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011.
Mr. Dement was a big jokester; he loved making people laugh with his jokes. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Dement is survived by his wife, Valeria Dement; four daughters, Diana Dement of Foley, Lynn Dement of Silverhill, Jean (James) Lingis of Menominee, Mich. and Terri (Curtis) Johnson of Loxley; two sisters, Paulette Hughes of Stockton, and Peggy Hall of Silverhill; one brother, Ferrell Brown; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at 10 a.m., at the Loxley Church of God with Rev. Herman Knapp officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Loxley.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 9 a.m. at the church.
