Donald E. “Donnie” Parker, 73, a resident of Perdido Beach, died Thursday, June 6, 2013.
Mr. Parker retired from the city of Foley after 20-plus years of service. He was also a past master in the Masonic Lodge and member of the Scottish Rite.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald W. and Ethel (Lewis) Parker; brother, Richard W. Parker; and son Gary Scott Parker.
Survivors of Mr. Parker include his loving wife, Virginia Inez Parker of Perdido Beach; son, Greg (Kelly) Parker of Mentone, Ala.; granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth Parker of Foley; sister, Hazel Helton of Perdido Beach; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Pine Rest Funeral Home. Buried followed in Pine Rest Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 E. Ohio St. Suite 304, Chicago, IL 60611.
