Donald Phillip “Mud Boy” Gardner, 47, a native of Philadelphia and a resident of Bay Minette since 1971, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 in Bay Minette.

He was an avid biker and attended the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church.

Survivors include three sons, Donald Phillip Gardner Wilson of Pasadena, Texas, Eddie Peska and Tony Peska, both of Bay Minette; two daughters, Katrina Mai Gardner (Christopher) Ballard of Havelock, N.C., and Amber Wilson of Texas; three grandchildren, Abbey Peska, Austen Wilson and Kydence Wilson; his parents, Sara Ann and Dewey Glenn Bryars of Perdido; six brothers, Bobby Gardner of Bay Minette, John Gardner of Excel, Artie Gardner of Bay Minette, Thomas Gardner of Perdido, Eddie Gardner of Rabun and Jake Hadley of Bay Minette; three sisters, Theresa Gardner of Perdido, Rossanna Edwards of Mt.. Vernon and Katie Jones of Elsanor; an abundance of nieces and nephews.

Visitation begins at noon with funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at 2 pm. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Randall Short and Helen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Eddie Peska, Billy Andrews, Billy Gardner, Darrin Gardner, Thomas Sprinkle and J.R Gardner. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Hadley and Robbie Gardner.
