Donald Wayne Martin, 74, passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2014 in Silverhill.
Formerly of California, Donald moved to Baldwin County in 2004. In California he worked in architectural design and development for many years, and worked in real estate until retirement in 2010.
Donald was a private pilot and loved aviation, classic cars and history. He loved telling stories and making people laugh.
He loved his family deeply, and always referred to Susan as his bride.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, George (Faye) Martin; mother, Mattie (Malcolm) Johnson; sister, Shirley Moist; and grandson, Dan.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Martin; five sons, Donald W. “Dutch” (Paula) Martin Jr., Daniel (Ginger) Martin, John Martin, Brad (Adrianne) Holley and Josh (Sheena) Holley; sister, Celia Martin; brother, Dan (Marian) Martin; six grandchildren, Lexie, Dutchie, Max, Rachelle, Cameron and Hayden; three great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
