Donny Mitchum, 62, a resident of Robertsdale, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014.
Mr. Mitchum was a Vietnam veteran, serving in United States Marines.
He was an avid camper and liked to fish.
Mr. Mitchum was preceded in death by his parents, B.J. and Catherine Mitchum; and his brother, Benjamin Mitchum.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Mitchum of Robertsdale; sons, Michael Stewart (Kristy) Mitchum of Mobile and William Lee (Kristi) Mitchum of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; daughter, Amber Mitchum (David) Mofield of Robertsdale; sister, Connie Workman of Roanoke, Ala.; brothers, Kerry Mitchum of Loxley, Tommy Mitchum of Roanoke and Bobby Mitchum of Fort Worth, Texas; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at 10 a.m., at Robertsdale First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jeff Copeland officiating. Burial will be in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Mack Funeral Home.
