Doreen Hart Thom, 82, a native of British Columbia, Canada, a naturalized United States citizen and resident of Fairhope, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014.
Doreen was a member of Thomas Hospital Auxiliary, and volunteered at the hospital for more than 15 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Paterson Thom; and son, Ronald George Thom.
She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Boyd (Bobby) of Wilmer, Gayle Jones of Bradford, Fla. and Tracy Clay (David) of Fairhope; six grandchildren, Kelly Navan-Hammack (Brein), Robyn Boyd, Patrick Jones (Louise Russell), Christopher Jones, Kristin Clay and Kylee Clay; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kathleen Cotton, of Ontario, Canada.
A special acknowledgement goes to the surviving “lunch bunch,” Mary Garey and Jane Kant.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Make-A-Wish Foundation in her memory.
A private memorial service will be held.
