Doris Black Wilson, 80, born April 26, 1933 in Covington County, Ala. and a resident of Spanish Fort, passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014 with her family at her side.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson; her parents, Leo and Ella Mae Black; and six brothers, Otto, Hazel, Carl, Wilmer, Donnie and O’Neal Black.
She leaves to cherish her memories, five devoted children, Carolyn (Irwin Lipscomb) Dugger of Robertsdale, Terry (Patricia) Wilson of Altha, Fla., Ann (Clarence) Howard of Eight Mile, Rita (Wyatt) Phillips of Stapleton and Sara (Tony) Morris of Spanish Fort; eight grandchildren, Gwen Lee, Ronnie Dugger, Bubba Morris, Ashley Jones, Andrea, Trevor, Kara and Alisha Phillips; seven great-grandchildren, Haden, Sara and Camden Devine, Ja’Lynn Jones, Haylen Brown, and Addison and Blakely Morris; one sister, Delores Vance of Kentucky; two sisters-in-law, Fay Black of Florida and Wanda Black of Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, several devoted friends; and her beloved cat, Dusty.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, from 10 a.m. until noon, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
Funeral services will be held at noon from the chapel of the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Dugger officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tony and Bubba Morris, Ronnie and Terry Dugger, Haden Devine and Clarence Howard.
Honorary pallbearers are Wyatt Phillips and Pete Dreading.
Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery in Spanish Fort.
