Doris Montell Perdue, 89, a native of Mobile and longtime resident of Fairhope, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 in Huntsville.
She was a member of the Montrose Garden Club and one of the founding members of the Eastern Shore Doll Study Club, where she served as their first president. She was also an active member in Toastmistress. Her hobbies included ceramics, as well as making and dressing porcelain dolls. She also had a passion for bridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Roscoe “Buddy” Perdue Jr.; and her parents, Leon Grady and Magdalene Mann Ozier.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel Grady (Silvia) Perdue of Houston and Richard Terry Perdue of Huntsville; one grandson, Richard Cooper Perdue of Montrose; brother, Leslie Grady Ozier of Louisville, Ky.; niece, Leslie Lynn Ambrosiano of Lousville; many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 30 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 31 at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the animal humane society of your choice.
