"font-family:">Dorothy Allen Williams, 84, lifelong resident of Fairhope and retired educator, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011.
"font-family:">Mrs. Williams was an active member of Twin Beech AME Zion Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She taught school in Baldwin County for more than 35 years.
"font-family:">She was preceded in death by her husband, Herzoll Williams; her parents, Irving Cleveland Allen and Bessie Smith Allen; sisters, Helen Guice, Polly Bonner and Ida Allen Holt; brothers, Irving Leonard Allen and Rudolph Allen.
"font-family:">Mrs. Williams is survived by a stepdaughter, Thelma Williams Thomas of Fairhope; two sons, Lionel (Bessie) Williams of Forestville, Md. and Leonard (Margaret) Williams, of Fairhope; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
"font-family:">Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Twin Beech AME Zion Church. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. at the church.
"font-family:">Interment will be at Twin Beech Cemetery.
