Dorothy Mashburn Buntin, preceded in death by husband, William Allison Buntin; parents Lenore and
Morris Mashburn; brothers, Morris Jr, Sterling, and Edward Mashburn. She is survived by children, daughter Allison Mashburn Buntin, Michael Hourihan of Gulf Shores Alabama; son, David Wingate Buntin and wife, Adele Dixon Buntin; grandchildren Jessica Buntin Smith and husband, Samuel P. Smith, Jeshurun Wingate Buntin, Jonathan Kramer Buntin; great- grandson, Julian David Smith of Nashville Tenn; three stepchildren, William Allison, Joseph Washington, and Jennifer Craighead Buntin of San Antonio, Texas. Mrs. Buntin had lived in Gulf Shores since 1992, formerly of Nashville Tenn. Born in Tullahoma, Tennessee in 1926. She was retired from BMI and previously worked for South-Central Bell telephone company. She graduated from Cohn High School and Ward Belmont Junior College in Nashville. A memorial service will be held on Mon. March 4 at 2 p.m. at the Oyster Bay Village Clubhouse, 2277 Oyster Bay Lane, Gulf Shores.
