Dorothy Pearson Kanne, 93, a native and resident of Silverhill, died March 23, 2012. Mrs. Kanne served in the U.S. Navy Waves during WWII. She was retired from Compass Bank and was a longtime member of the Silverhill First Baptist Church where she was a pianist for 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Herbert Kanne. She was survived by two sons, Kenneth D. (Kathy) Kanne and Keith A. (Diane) Kanne both of Silverhill; brother, Arvid A. Pearson, Silverhill; two grandchildren, Stephanie L. Hedden and Regina Denise Kanne and two great-grandchildren, John Andrew “Drew” Hedden and Abbie Nichole Hedden. Funeral services were March 26, 2012 at the Silverhill First Baptist Church with the Rev. E.L. Mullen officiating. Burial was at Silverhill Cemetery. Arrangements by Mack Funeral Home, Robertsdale.
