Doug Hartsock, 67, of Lower Wallens Creek in Jonesville, Va., born in St. Charles, Va. on Saturday, June 22, 1946, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn.
He had been a farmer and was a retired maintenance supervisor for the Baldwin
County Commission. He was also a member of the Fishermen Baptist Church in Bon Secour.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Hartsock; stepmother, Susan Hartsock; stepfather, Ivan Bartley; and a sister, Ann Robinette.
Doug is survived by his wife, Barbara Hartsock; mother, Bonnie Bartley of Indianapolis, Ind.; sons, Stephen Hartsock and wife, Dora, and Brad Hartsock and wife, LeAnne, both of Foley; grandchildren, Paul Hartsock and Marina Hartsock, both of Foley; four brothers,
James Hartsock and Michael Hartsock, both of Pennington Gap, Va., and David
Bartley and Richard Bartley, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister, Brenda Davis of Kentucky; and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2014, with Pastor Shawn Majors officiating.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Sunday until the time of the service.
The family will have a private burial.
