BAY MINETTE, Alabama — Down in the Delta, A Vintage & Antiques Market, will be held April 1 and 2 at Live Oak Landing, Highway 225 with easy access from I-65 at exit 31 in North Baldwin County.

“This venue is the perfect location for an early spring market,” said event organizer Judy Pimperl. “I hope that the sun will be shining and we can enjoy the day hanging out underneath the pretty live oak trees draped in Spanish moss.”

Juried vendors of antiques, vintage and vintage inspired goods will be on hand with treasures that have been sourced especially for this event. There will be vendors with specialty goods that have been made right here in Alabama.

“It’s just so pretty there,” Pimperl said. “I’m hoping folks will come out and enjoy the day with us, shop a little, and learn more about our Mobile Tensaw Delta, which is also known as America’s Amazon.”

Antique cars will be cruising in for a show, and there will be tours of the delta through a partnership with Wild Native Delta Safaris. Food vendors will be on hand too, so that you can plan to spend the day enjoying early spring along the banks of the Mobile-Tensaw River in the Alabama Delta.

“It would be a great fun and educational day trip for locals looking for “stay-cation” ideas during Spring Break,” Pimperl said. “I’m sure the children would love to go out on the tour boat and mom can get in some shopping therapy.”

Advance tickets are $6 and can be purchased online with a credit card; they are $8 (cash only) at the door. Delta tour tickets are also available online by going to downinthedelta.net where you will find a link to the Wild Native site. There you can choose from one of three scheduled tours and purchase your tickets. Advance ticket purchase is encouraged so that crowd size can be anticipated, and it will also save you time once you get to the market.
