Jocelyn Ebel Doxsey and Roger Louis Jacobsen Jr. were united in marriage July 18, 2009 at The Grand Hotel, Point Clear.
Fred Fusilier, uncle of the bride, officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Janet and Stephen Doxsey of Erie, Colo. She is a graduate of Daphne High School, earned a B.A. in linguistics from Ohio State University and an M.A. in linguistics from New York University.
She is an account strategist in Media Sales with Google Inc. in New York.
The bridegroom is the son of Cathy Hinrichs Taylor of Point Clear and Roger Jacobsen Sr., of Oklahoma City.
He is a graduate of Fairhope High School and attended Johnson and Wales in Charleston, S.C.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Stephen Doxsey.
Abigail Doxey of Brookln, N.Y., and Laurel Doxsey of Boulder, Colo., sisters of the bride, served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Austin of Columbus, Ohio, Kara Becker of Brooklyn, Alice Brown of Ethiopia and Adrian Walker of Minneapolis, Minn.
Zachary Jacobsen, brother of the bridegroom, of Oklahoma City, served as best man. Groomsmen were Roger Jacobsen Sr., Brendan Abel, Jason Ahmed, Jason Comer and Michael Zanetti.
Flower girl was Karis Doxsey, niece of the bride of Boulder. Ring bearer was Devon Jacobsen, nephew of the bridegroom of Oklahoma Cily.
Music for the ceremony was provided by a string quartet under the direction of Steve Harmon.
Ushers were Caleb Doxsey, Cees Doxsey and William West.
A reception in Grand Ballroom of the Grand Hotel followed the ceremony.
Music/entertainment was provided by David Ellis.
After a wedding trip to Barcelona and Mallorca, Spain, the couple residen in Brooklyn.
