FAIRHOPE, Ala. — Commedia del Arte will present “Dracula & Me,” an original comedy based on Bram Stoker’s “Dracula,” this weekend.
In the late 20s, radio was a booming new medium.
When a troupe of stage actors preparing to air their first broadcast of “Dracula” discover they are being hunted by a real vampire, mayhem ensues.
The problem? They don't know which of their number is the vampire.
The audience is welcome to interact to solve the mystery.
The show will be staged Aug. 29, at 7 p.m., at the University of South Alabama Baldwin County Performance Center, on the corner of Summit Street and St. James Ave. in Fairhope.
Admission is $5. The performance is sponsored by the Oracle literary magazine.
Additional shows will take place:
•Sept. 6, at 2:30 p.m., at the Museum of Mobile. Donations will be accepted.
•Sept. 26, at 7 p.m., at the USA Humanities auditorium in Mobile. Admission is $5. It is sponsored by USA’s Horror Club.
