"3">SILVERHILL, Ala. — Deirdra Lanora

Drinkard, daughter of Clyde and Mary Ann Drinkard of Loxley,

married Michael Scott McCool, son of Mike and Connie McCool of

Tuscaloosa.

"3">The ceremony took place at 4 p.m.

Saturday, May 21 at First Baptist Church of Silverhill with Brother

Bill Wade officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her

father, Clyde.

"3">Alicia Paul of Silverhill, childhood best

friend of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Karissa Bursch of

Plano, Texas, Tiffany Drinkard of Thomasville, Rebekah Dearborn of

Silverhill and Laura Summerford of Hartselle served as bridesmaids.

Taite Fields of Loxley, God-niece of the bride, and Lexie Segars,

niece of the groom, were flower girls.

"3">Mike McCool, father of the groom, served

as best man. Cody Rice of Tuscaloosa, Madison Anderson of Clanton,

Brett Morrison of Tuscaloosa and Jeremy Rice of Huntsville served

as groomsmen. Micah Drinkard of Clanton, cousin of the bride, was

the ring bearer. Dylan Drinkard of Thomasville, cousin of the

bride, and Brad Ballard of Newbern, cousin of the groom, were

ushers.

"3">Theresa Phillips and Steven Grant, both of

Robertsdale, sang during the ceremony. A string trio, Jordan

Felder, Heidi Bentley and Lauren Vesely of the University of South

Alabama provided instrumentals during the

ceremony.

"3">The reception immediately followed at the

James P. Nix Center in Fairhope. The wedding colors were ivory and

watermelon. The floral decor consisted of stargazer lilies and

ivory roses.

"3">Deirdra graduated with Honors from

Robertsdale High School in May of 2007. She attended and graduated

from the University of Alabama magna cum laude with a bachelor of

arts in journalism in December of 2010. She is currently a juris

doctor candidate at the University of Alabama School of

Law.

"3">Michael graduated from Tuscaloosa

Christian Academy in May of 2003. He attends the University of West

Alabama, and is employed by Eberspaecher North

America.

"3">After a honeymoon to Belize, Honduras and

Mexico, the newlyweds now reside in

Tuscaloosa.
