Drug arrests made in Mills neighborhood

FOLEY, Ala. — A narcotics search warrant on April 21 resulted in the arrest of five people on drug charges and outstanding warrants.

According to a news release issued by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office this week, the search warrant was executed at 13264B Mills Road in Foley by the Baldwin County Drug Task Force.

Among those arrested were Joseph “Poopie” Bell, 22, who was charged with four counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and first-degree possession of marijuana.

Others arrested were Minnie Hodges, 40, charged with first-degree possession of marijuana; Hazel Windham, 20, probation revocation warrant and second-degree possession of marijuana; Curtis Bell, 20, second-degree marijuana possession; and Demestrice Nettles, 27, second-degree possession of marijuana, resisting arrest and multiple outstanding warrants.

The Drug Task Force recovered baggies of marijuana and scales as well.

Among other search warrants executed by the Drug Task Force over the past two weeks was one at the residence of Alimereo English off Nicholsville Road in Bay Minette. English was found to be in possession of approximately four ounces of cocaine, approximately two ounces of marijuana, approximately three grams of crack, and approximately $500 in cash.

He was charged with trafficking in cocaine, first-degree marijuana possession, and multiple counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.
