Fulton Elmore "Lardo" Duck, 80, a native and lifelong resident of Bay Minette, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008 at Thomas Hospital.
He was retired Inspector at the Pensacola Naval Air Station; was a member of the Presbyterian Church; Bay Minette Masonic Lodge No. 498, ABBA Temple Shrine; was city councilman for the City of Bay Minette for 16 years; and was past president of the Baldwin County Shrine Club.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Bailey Duck of Bay Minette; two sons, Keith Duck of Prattville and Greg C. Duck of Josephine; two step-children, Gordon Bailey of Bay Minette and Krishna Orr of Pensacola, Fla.; one granddaughter, Casey Hartland; three step-grandchildren; Christopher Bailey, Emmett Bailey, Brandon Bailey and Nicholas Bailey; and three sisters, Betty Jean Pelt of Josephine and Verna Turk of Atmore.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 18 from at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Anderson and the Rev. Ted Mashburn officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery with Masonic graveside services by Bay Minette Lodge No. 498.
Active pallbearers were Tommy Langham, Patrick Duck, Sam Duck, Robert Duck, Bob Turk and Johnny Owens. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Lee, Billy Owens, Frank Turner, Jesse Gregson, Ricky Rhodes and Joe King.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Beacons of Light Hospital Program 7701 Hitt Road, Mobile AL 36695.
