The Rev. John Warren Dyess Jr., 80, a native of Stapleton and a resident of Robertsdale, died Friday, April 30, 2010.
He was a retired Baptist minister serving Baldwin County.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Tilda Dyess.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Dyess of Robertsdale; daughter, Joyce (David) Woodard of Birmingham; son, Byron Dyess of Birmingham; step-daughter, Tammy Wallace of Elsanor; two sisters, Mattie Stokes and Annie Stokes, both of Stapleton; 10 grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 3 from the chapel of Mack Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Stapleton.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Jubilee Baptist Church, 9264 Pleasant Road, Daphne, AL 36526.
