Tilda M. Dyess, 75, a native of Goodway and a resident of Stapleton, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, the Rev. John Warren Dyess Jr. of Stapleton; two daughters, Joyce (David) Woodard of Birmingham and Ammie (Luther) Peebles of Stapleton; son, Byron (Susan) Dyess of Birmingham; sister, Voncille Nall of Evergreen; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19 at Mack Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Underwood and the Rev. Paul Matthew officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Stapleton.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Styx River Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1984, Robertsdale, AL 36567.
