LOXLEY — The Town of Loxley will host its 12th annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 16 at Loxley Municipal Park.

Madeline Darby, event coordinator, said anyone wishing to volunteer for the event should arrive by noon. The event begins at 2 p.m.

“We’ve had great volunteer support over the years from the fire department and there are several individuals who help out too,” she said. “But we are always looking for volunteers and everyone is welcome.”

Joey Knight, events coordinator with the Town of Loxley, said 3,500 eggs have been ordered for the event, including 12 prize eggs for the four different age groups participating.

Age groups range in age from infants (under 12 months), 1- to 3-year olds, 4- to 7-year-olds, and 8- to 12-year-olds.

Darby said prizes will consist of filled prize baskets, including special eggs filled with gold coins.
